In Detail
(note all bookings include an in depth information pack)

DAY 1
ARUSHA

On arrival you are personally met by one of our representatives and transferred to Arusha to a well appointed hotel. In the afternoon there is a full briefing with a senior Manager and your trip leader. Dinner is included at your hotel.

Overnight The Arusha Hotel (half board)

DAY 2
TARANGIRE

After breakfast we will head out to Tarangire National park with picnic lunches for a game drive. Mountain bikes are transported separately to the lodge for evening testing.

Overnight Burunge Tented Lodge (full board)

DAY 3
TARANGIRE

Today we head out on mountain bike with picnic lunches carried by our support crew. The riding is through bush country to begin with and then through a mixture of fishing and pastoral communities in the Burungi area. Lunch is taken under the canopy of a shady tree and after the heat of the day passes we head on to our evening's accommodation.

Overnight Maramboi Tented Lodge (full board)

DAY 4
LAKE MANYARA

From the lodge we transfer to the bike starting point north along the lake. From here it is relatively easy riding all the way to Mto Wa Mbu village. We cross the main road before heading into Maasailand again near many Maasai 'bomas'. Late lunch is taken at the lodge and in the afternoon a short rest can be taken with options for walks in the area.

Overnight Kirurumu Tented Lodge (full board)

DAY 5
RIFT VALLEY

There is a dawn game drive option today before we head back through Silela forest and hike the great rift valley wall. Our bikes are transported to the top and we meet them for a great ride back mostly downhill to the main road (around 30km). Guests can opt to take the cars from here, or decent the rift wall on the main road back to the lodge for an extra 30 km's riding.

Overnight Kirurumu Tented Lodge (full board)

DAY 6
NGORONGORO

Today we depart for the fabled Ngorongoro crater. A relatively early departure is necessary to make the most of today and we descend into the crater for around 4 hours of great game viewing. The 'big 5' can often be spotted here in a day and all the animals are remarkably tame - a great photography day!

Overnight Ngorongoro Farm House (full board)

DAY 7
SERENGETI

This morning we head off from the Ngorongoro Highlands and weave or way to the Serengeti plains. Here at the start of the plains a 50 km long gorge has been cut out, exposing layer upon layer of fossilised bones - Olduvai Gorge, otherwise known as the Cradle of Mankind. After a stop at the Olduvai Museum we head on into the Serengeti, game driving as we go. Our mobile tented camp is set up according to the best game.

Overnight Serengeti Mobile Camp (full board)

DAY 8
SERENGETI

Today we have a full day exploring the Serengeti and looking for a variety of animals both migratory and resident. Anything from Bohor Reedbuck to Leopard can be found in various parts of the Serengeti in a range of habitats.

Overnight Serengeti Mobile Camp (full board)

DAY 9
SERENGETI / DEPART

After breakfast we head on to the airstrip to catch the scheduled flight back to Arusha. From there you can connect to Kilimanjaro Airport or onto other locations - such as Zanzibar or even Rwanda to see Mountain Gorillas!
