Climb Mt Kenya
Summits Africa runs professionally organised
and led Mt Kenya climbs. We offer trekking routes on all the
Mt Kenya routes and technical ascnt guides to Point Nelian
and Batian and available on request.
Please note: our Mt Kenya climbs are normally
quoted Nairobi to Nairobi. Should you require a pickup point
or drop off point that is different then please let us know,
we are happy to accommodate (for instance Laikipia pick up,
Naivasha, airport etc).

The Sirimon Chogorian route is our recommended
route for hikers that want to enjoy the best of the mountain.
If you would like the full itinerary and rates for a shorter
route then please let us know.
Professional Guides
Our Kenya guides go through bi annual training
focusing specifically on topics such as Acute Mountain Sickness,
the identification and treatment of Cerebral and Pulmonary
Edemas and we even teach topics such as geology and botany
- i.e. our systems on Kilimanjaro are mirrored on Mt Kenya.

Safety On Mt Kenya
Safety is an essential part of all of our
systems from the training programs we run, the information
we collect before you trek and the check we perform on a daily
basis. For operators that have used us on Kilimanjaro before
- our systems on all high altitude trips are the same, i.e.
attention to detail and safety are paramount. For technical
ascents we use registered guides to lead the ascent - and
please note that even if experienced climbers book they will
still need to ascend with a local proffessional guide for
safety reasons.

the Sirimon - Chogoria route map, one ofour favourite routes
on Mt Kenya. Summits Africa does run other routes and another
great route is the start Sirimon end Naro Moru route for those
that want a shorter or less expensive trip over 5 days.
