| Overview |
This
itinerary starts with game driving in Tarangire National Park. The
next stage is a mountain biking section from Tarangire to South
Manyara and then from there to a forest reserve. The next stage
is a hiking stage following ancient elephant trails up the rift
valley scarp followed by a final mountain biking section following
the top of the rift scarp in Mbulu land. The final stage of the
route is traditional game drives in Ngorongoro and Serengeti with
stops to see the Maasai and Olduvai gorge. This itinerary flies
back from Serengeti, avoiding unnecessary driving time. |
| Pros |
For
active types this itinerary is an ideal way of enjoying Tanzania
without going stir crazy in a car for days on end. For mixed groups
there are always options to either extend the riding sections or
simply take it easy as there is full vehicle support. Far more engaging
than traditional game drive itineraries and yet you still see the
world famous sites as well. |

for purely game driving types - however for mixed family groups
where some people want to be active and others want to take it easy
this still represents and excellent option. |
